Itti bitti diapers are known in several countries around the world.
Originally started in Australia in 2005, now available
in 25 countries and will soon be sold here
in the United States in March 2011.
Itti Bitti has three different styles of diapers.
Their bitti d'lish is an AIO or available as
an Snap-in-two.
The bitti boo is their super popular fitted.
Both the d'lish and boo are sized diapers.
The bitti tutto is their One Size All-in-Two
{or four- You'll see why}
Itti bitti also makes luxury wetbags and ultimate wipes.
I have been given the opportunity to review two of
itti bitti's great products.
The choice was very hard!
I chose to review the bitti tutto.
The bitti tutto is a One Size fits most diaper
that is made to fit from birth up to 44 pounds!
The bitti tutto has a snap-in soaker system.
Not only does this diaper some with one soaker,
it comes with THREE!
This unique feature is easily adjust and is perfect
when you need to put extra protection where you need it.
The inserts have color coded snaps so
lining up the proper soaker to its match
it fool proof!
I know of a few diapers that have inner leg gussets
to help contain messes but the bitti tutto
is the first has gussets in the inner legs
and at the rear of the diaper.
This complete internal gusset system is
referred to as a "poo fence"
but it's more like a "poo wall".
This added material contains
even the messiest of messes.
The bitti tutto's inserts lay nicely
beneath the poo fence.
So when a mess occurs,
the insert absorbs the majority
but the "poo fence" is able to catch
any that may attempt to escape.
The bitti tutto fit Olivia wonderfully.
The rise was just right, resting comfortably over her belly.
The thigh openings were generous
enough for her chubby thighs.
The absorbency was great, no leaks, and the
"poo fence" definitely did its job well!
It was a bit bulky on her,
but when used around the house
or underneath loose fitting clothing
it's not a problem.
On Lillian, I wasn't as pleased.
The rise in the front was too low,
Resting way below her belly and
almost too close to her privates.
Lillian does have a high waist and she
is taller than the average 3yr old, so I
assume this diaper may fit someone
a bit shorter better.
The rise in the back was much better
but it seemed to sag in the bum.
This created the illusion she had a dirty
diaper, almost that of what
a dirty sposie does.
You know what I mean, right?
When a sposie gets soiled it tends
to sag down to the knees.
I know it wasn't sagging to her knees
but it sure did seem a bit more
'poofy' than most diapers.
My other complaint about the bitti tutto
is that it is a bit difficult to clean.
Lillian decided to have a horrible
bowel movement while
wearing this diaper.
The inserts were HORRIBLE to clean out.
Every nook and cranny seemed
to have poop in it.
Not fun!
Although I do give the bitti tutto props
for being able hold all the mess in.
I guess I should be happy for that!
I do like the bitti tutto but
feel there are some areas
that don't work well for
my girls.
I also had the opportunity to review
one of the itti bitti luxury wetbags.
The itti bitti luxury wetbags come in a variety of
colors and prints.They are made from a
super soft PUL lined minky.
They have a zipper closure
that helps keep in odors and moisture.
The itti bitti luxury wetbags are the perfect size.
They can easily fit in a diaper bag.
They can be used for wet clothes, dirty
diapers or any other mess you need it to.
I received a hot pink wetbag.
I love how soft it is!
My other wetbags are made from
two separate layers, one usually a
cotton or flannel material and then
a layer of PUL.
But the itti bitti luxury wetbag is one piece.
The zipper closure is very strong and
I love that it is located at the front of the diaper
instead of at the very top.
This makes opening and closing easier.
I was able to fit 6 one size diapers
in here at once comfortably.
This is now my go-to wetbag.
It is roomy, convenient and oh-so adorable.
My only wish is that it had a handle.
