Earthy Crunchy Mama is a source for all things Crunchy!

Well you may ask.. What is crunchy?

You can ask this question to 10 different people 

and more than likely you will get 10 different answers.

But to me the definition of crunchy is

that of granola.. natural, or like that of the

earth beneath your feet.

When you live a crunchy (semi or fully) you have 

a love or appreciation for our earth, our environment

and you tend to question main-stream thoughts.

I also relate crunchy to tree-hugging.. Tree are crunchy :)

Earthy Crunchy Mama wasn't always so "earthy crunchy".

Here is her story:

"Earthy Crunchy Mama is the realization of a dream I never knew I had.

I was never a very “earthy crunchy” person. 

You would never have caught me at an environmental rally, 

forgoing meat or passing on pampers in favor of cloth. 

Then I had Cole and everything changed. He was born with, 

Progressive Infantile Scoliosis, a rare spinal deformity. 

When he was diagnosed I realized that although some things, 

like his scoliosis, were out of my control, there was lots 

I could do to ensure he grew up healthy. 

This was the start of my transformation in to an Earthy Crunchy Mama.

I started to look for ways to make healthier choices for our family. 

This soon expanded to trying to minimize our impact on the environment. 

Like most families we run on a budget, time is tight 

and we enjoy the amenities of modern day conveniences. 

Unfortunately, going green isn’t always cheap or practical. 

I made it my mission to search out ways my family 

could become more health and environmentally 

conscious without breaking the bank, taxing our already tight schedules, 

or forgoing our much loved modern conveniences.

The more I learned, the more passionate I have become 

about raising my family in a more natural lifestyle. 

I have found that it can be easy, affordable 

and compatible with modern living. 

I hope Earthy Crunchy Mama can share what I have learned, 

both in terms of what has worked and what hasn’t 

worked for us and to help you find what will work best for you and your family.

Her story is so similar to mine.. although a serious

medical problem was not involved.

I never considered being green or the least bit

earth friendly until after the birth of

my first daughter! I am glad I am not alone.

Earthy Crunchy Mama sent me a package of

their reusable fleece liners and a reusable microfiber sponge!

The washable microfiber sponge is super thick

and the exterior material is the perfect texture for hard to clean messes.

The size is perfect to fit in the palm of your hand, 

measuring at 3x5!

If you've ever tried the "reusable" sponges from the store, 

you know that they fall apart easy and tend

to smell very soon after using them.

They are a waste, in my opinion.

But these Earthy Crunchy Mama sponges

are nicely made and very durable.

My dirty washing machine before I cleaned it. Ick!

I recently reviewed Crunchy Clean Scrub a Dub Dub

cleaner (See review HERE) and I used the 

Earthy Crunchy Mama sponges as part of my review.

The sponge did a great job!

The sponges textured exterior made scrubbing easier

to clean those tough messes.

Once the sponge got dirty, I just tossed it

in the washer and voila... Good as new!

After a wash in the washing machine! Spotlessly clean

I am very impressed by this little sponge!

I love that I can just toss it in the washer to

get it all spiffed up.

So much better than those store bought ones

that seem to last for a brief time!

 The fleece liners from Earthy Crunchy Mama

are wonderful as well.

Nice, thick and soft fleece that can be placed

directly on top of cloth diapers to 

create a barrier between skin and the diaper.

These are good for wicking away moisture while

using a prefold or other non-stay dry materials,

when you have to use a non-cloth friendly 

diaper rash cream (but make sure to wash

these separate if used for that purpose) and

they are also great for catching poo 

(a nice reusable alternative to flush-able liners.).

These Earthy Crunchy Mama liners come in

packages of 10 liners and are available in 

several colors: yellow, orange, blue and purple

and they come in three different sizes:newborn, infant and toddler.

If you purchase too big of a size, they cut very easily!

I love these liners. I add them to our night time solution

to help keep extra moisture away from Olivia's

sensitive bottom and I add them to her diapers

when we know that she will have a BM soon!

They definitely do their job well!

Once soiled.. I spray them off and toss them

in the diaper pail.. And since they are

so cheap, I don't feel too guilty if I can't 

salvage one!

The toddler size are perfect for Olivia!

She is only 7 months old but she is the

size of some 1 yr olds.

Once the liner is in her diaper, it doesn't

show at all! Love it! 

Earthy Crunchy Mama is a shop after

my own heart!

There isn't a single item in her shop

that I don't oogle over.

I am dying to try several other items she carries!
